FAQs

When are worship services held?
Every Sabbath (Saturday) morning.

Do I need a Bible?
No. You don’t have to bring anything—just yourself. If you would like a Bible, there are plenty at church for you to use. You can also download a free Bible app to your smartphone.

Do I need to have read the entire Bible before coming to church?
No. The purpose of coming to church is so that we can learn about Scripture together. All are welcome to read the Bible in their own time, but please do not feel like you must know everything before coming to church. Remember, a student does not go to school because they know everything, they go to learn.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable. If we were to call it a dress code, then we could say smart casual. Church should not be be about what we put on our bodies, for God will look after those things, it is about how we open our hearts to Him.

Should I go if I don’t know anyone?
If the Holy Spirit has touched your heart or you have some questions you want answered, don't be shy about coming, our church is a place where all people are welcome. We are not concerned about whether you’re younger or older, a lifelong Christian or someone who is picking up the Bible for the first time. We would love to meet you! If you feel nervous, bring a friend or just send us a message.

Will I be asked to give money?
Every week we give our regular attenders the opportunity to support a variety of causes. It’s not required or expected that you give a donation, especially if you’re visiting us for the first time.

Will I be asked to speak publicly or pray?
No, we would not want to put pressure on you especially if you are a first-time guest. You may be asked to introduce yourself in a small group or to the church so that we get to know your name at least, or someone may ask your opinion in a discussion. Prayer is an important part of worship, and you are welcome to join in, but no one will ever force you to pray.

Who do I speak to if I have any questions?
Ask if you can speak to one of the leadership team—the pastor or one of the elders. Or just start with talking to someone who looks friendly! You can also email us through the Contact Us page and someone will try to answer your questions.
